N is for Non-contention
When you hear of another trader's success—a big win, a great month, a clever trade—pause before your habitual reaction. If you feel envy or diminishment arise, name it silently: "This is contention. This is the illusion of separation." Then, genuinely wish them well. Silently say: "May your Tao continue to prosper. My Tao is my own."
M is for Mountain
Sit comfortably in your trading chair. Close your eyes. Visualize yourself as a mountain—massive, ancient, silent. Feel the weather moving around you. A winning trade is a passing sunbeam. A losing trade is a passing rain cloud. A missed opportunity is a gust of wind. None of it moves the mountain. The mountain simply sits, and watches, and remains.
Practice this for three minutes before your session. When you open your eyes, carry the mountain with you.
L is for Letting Go
The next time your stop-loss is triggered, say aloud: "This is not a defeat. This is a retreat that enables an advance. My capital is preserved. My discipline is intact. My next opportunity is already forming."
Do not immediately re-enter. Take a deliberate pause—even if it's just 30 seconds—to mark the letting go as a conscious, empowered act, not a reactive flinch.
